DJI MINI 3 drone goes on sale early

A screenshot of the DJI Mini 3 for sale on a UK website has been leaked. It's not entirely confirmed, but we do know that the new Mini 3 model is coming soon. An official release date has not yet been announced by DJI, it will be at the last minute. It is expected to be cheaper than the Mini 3 Pro model, again weighing under 250 grams. The price shown in the screenshot is for the Fly More Combo package with the DJI RC controller and three intelligent batteries, a bag, additional accessories and a charging hub.

It will probably be offered at a much lower price if it is a standard configuration.

Some of the specifications that the new DJI Mini 3 will likely have, as seen by the retailer in question, are:

Under 249 grams
4K HDR video
True vertical shooting
Smart features
38 km/h (level 5) wind resistance
Fly More set with shoulder bag and charging hub
DJI RC
Auto takeoff function

We currently have no firm information on a possible release date, but we expect, based on recent FCC filings, that it will be soon.

It seems that the DJI Mini 3 will only lack the obstacle avoidance sensors that are present in the DJI Mini 3 Pro version. It will certainly not be pleasant for people used to using them, and we are not sure how much of a problem this is for experienced pilots.

In case you are wondering if the DJI Mini 3 can be used for commercial work with your certificate, be sure to find out early.
